By installing Expert Shield you agree to these terms.
The service
Expert Shield provides optional storefront deterrents such as blocking image drag, the Save Image menu, copy/cut of storefront text, description highlighting, and browser print of images. Pro may also detect known commercial spy toolbars and apply a Kick, Degrade, or Log response. These measures can reduce casual copying and toolbar scraping. They cannot prevent determined copying, screenshots, disabled JavaScript, or access to public Shopify catalog JSON. Form fields stay usable.
Your responsibilities
- Enable the app embed in the Shopify theme editor for protections to run on your storefront
- Review the embed so it does not interfere with the experience you want for buyers
- Use Shopify billing to upgrade or downgrade. We do not charge outside Shopify
Plans and billing
The Free plan includes basic media deterrents. The Pro plan is $4.99 USD every 30 days through Shopify App Pricing, with a 7-day trial. Pro includes keyboard deterrents and Spy Shield. Switching plans happens on Shopify’s hosted plan page.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided as-is. We are not responsible for content that is copied despite the deterrents, or for theme conflicts caused by storefront scripts. Do not rely on this app as a security or copyright-enforcement system.
